💧 Water & Sewer Services
Hot Springs operates its own municipal water and sewer systems. Because of our unique geography, maintaining these systems requires specialized expertise.
- Water Quality: The department monitors water quality daily to ensure it meets all North Carolina state standards. An annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is available at Town Hall or online here .
- Connections: Residents looking to establish new water or sewer service must apply through the Town Hall administrative office.
- Repairs: Public Works handles all main line repairs. Residents are responsible for the service lines from the meter to their homes.
🚛 Sanitation & Maintenance
| Service | Details |
| Trash Collection | Curbside pickup is provided for residents within town limits on Monday mornings (excluding holidays). Please ensure bins are out by 8:00 AM on scheduled days. |
| Street Maintenance | Includes pothole repair, sidewalk maintenance, and clearing debris from town-owned roads. |
| Water/Sewer | The department maintains water and sewer lines. |
| Parks & Public Spaces | Maintenance of town-owned green spaces and the grounds around municipal buildings. |
⚠️ Resident Guidelines & Safety
- Water Leaks: If you notice an unusually soft spot in your yard or see water bubbling up from a street or sidewalk, please notify the department immediately.
- Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG): To prevent sewer backups, residents are reminded never to pour grease or oil down the drain. These substances solidify and cause major blockages in the town’s sewer mains.
📋 Utility Billing
Utility payments for water, sewer, and trash are processed through the Town Hall.
- Due Date: Bills for water/sewer services are due when rendered and are delinquent after 30 days.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made in person at the Town Hall via cash, check, or money order.
