Rebuild Hot Springs Area

Rebuild Hot Springs Area (RHSA) is a community-led nonprofit dedicated to supporting recovery, rebuilding, and long-term resilience in Hot Springs, North Carolina. Formed in response to Hurricane Helene, RHSA mobilizes donations, volunteers, and partnerships to address unmet needs for residents, businesses, and public spaces.

Beyond immediate disaster response, RHSA focuses on strengthening community infrastructure, fostering transparency and accountability, and helping ensure a sustainable future for the town and its people.

Madison Alliance for Rebuilding Communites

Madison Alliance for Rebuilding Communities (MARC) is the official Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) of Madison County, NC. We serve individuals and families in the greater areas of Marshall, Mars Hill, and Hot Springs.

MARC is composed of local organizations, non-profits, churches and residents who provide continued support to our county’s residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Our goal is two prong — to immediately support our neighbors through their recovery and to progressively work toward resilient solutions that ensure better preparedness for future disasters.

Community Housing Coalition

Community Housing Coalition (CHC) of Madison County is a community-based nonprofit agency that facilitates urgent home repairs to low-income Madison County residents in need of assistance.

For more than 20 years, CHC has held to its mission – to promote and facilitate healthy, safe, and affordable housing through advocacy, education, and resource development. We are a powerful driver of community engagement in Madison County by providing opportunities to volunteer and give back.

Beacon of Hope

Beacon of Hope has been serving Madison and surrounding counties, by providing food assistance and assistance with clothing and household items, since June 1997. What began as a grassroot efforts in the kitchen of a small trailer, has grown to be the largest humanitarian relief effort in Madison County.

Mountain Valleys RC&D

Mountain Valleys Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established in 1974 to develop, improve, and conserve natural resources and to provide employment and other economic opportunities to the people of an eight-county area of Western North Carolina.
